The last couple of days i see the traffic of one of my site thlog.com drop real strong (about 50 to 75% a day) and i don't seem to find why.

Server is doing well and all my other site perform normal (same hoster / server)

I am still in the search engines and nothing changed on the site.

is there anything i could have missed?

Have you analysed your stats to compare before and after the drop in traffic? You could look at your main sources of traffic. Is Google suddenly sending fewer visitors? Are the sites which usually send you visitors not sending them any more? What are your most popular pages? Has their traffic dropped?

I think you will be closer to a solution if you can identify more specifically where the problem lies.

Yes i looked at my numbers and it's down everywhere.

So that made me think hosting or site problems but both are fine.
My hosting account has multiple sites in them and others are actually soaring right now.

And the site performes the same as always so i am kinda lost.

luckily the downward trend seem to have leveld off yesterday lets hope it goes up from here again Very Happy

If all your sites are hosted in the same place and you're experiencing a drop not just from Google but also from other sources, all in very roughly equal measure, then it sounds like a hosting problem could be at play. Have you had any outages that you are aware of, George? Would you know if you had? Or are the sites running much more slowly or something like that, causing more people than normal to click away?

That is exactly what i thought of Paul but checked my hoster and no problems found there. and the other sites run on the same server and they do pretty well not problems there.

I thought about site maybe being slower and people clicking away but speed test seem that the site is running like normal and even if people would click away the code for my analytics is pretty high in page code so they should still count as a hit don't you think?

in the mean time i did some extra fine tuning to the site so it would be clearer in the next couple of days of traffic goes back up.

Yes, but when you talk about your stats dropping, it depends on what you're measuring. Is it uniques, total page views or something else?

George, what is your biggest source of traffic? Organic Google searches or paid ads such nas AdWords? If it's Adwords, quite likley one of the big retailers is suddenly spending heavily in your niches.

Traffic is 40% search, 40% referral and 20 direct and no adwords or programs like that.

and all are down the same ratio.
