It is known knowledge that when confronted with the possibility to pick, a vast majority of internet users will decide to take the easiest route when consuming information. This means that online video marketing is instantly a top choice since all your prospect has to do is hit the play button, sit back, and enjoy the show.

Integrate this with the growing number of people that are surfing the internet and enjoying videos on the move from their mobile devices and you have virtually an unlimited opportunity of getting your information out there and in front of a ton of people.

In principle you are right.

viewing a video is easier then reading text but there is one mayor BUT.

video's are not so easy to find as text and ofter are bunched up with a lot of video's you don't want to see.

I love to watch good video's but i am not wasting my time going to youtube and trying to find it (unless i don't want to do anything besides watching video's).

Video's in useful content make me choose the video over the text but that is about it.

TV never replaced newspapers, so I don't think video is about to replace text... sure, it's popular and is an easy choice if you're feeling lazy, but it doesn't fulfil all needs.

Yes... I would argue that the internet had a bigger impact on newspapers than TV did.

it sure did and how about the impact the internet made on TV.

I don't have cable TV any more i just get the shows through netflix or even the local stations apps and use my Apple TV to see them.

I still (mostly) watch the TV in the usual way, so can't really comment on that one... Smile

It nice to see so many mixed opinions and I agree with them all. Everything is online these days, be it newspapers, press releases, videos, tv, films... and in my opinion they all work together. However videos do tend to show up on Google search results a lot faster then written content and images.
