Can any one help me, some time just after the launch of the X-Box here in the UK I saw an advert on TV, I have only ever seen it once and no one I know ever recalls seeing it. I need to know if it actually existed or did I just have a very bizarre dream?? Tongue

The ad went something like this:

The scene opens with a woman screaming as she is giving birth, a baby catapults out and flies through the hospital window, as the child is flying it starts to grow up and then grows old (all this is happening as the person is flying through the air) then when the child is old and grey he drops straight into a coffin. Scene fades to black and the X-box logo appears with a strap line of something “like in life you only get one chance, X-box play again”……

Have I just made this up?? Confused

Please help me, I need to know if I'm going mad

J-Ro

You're not going mad. Smile I never saw it, but that ad was banned by the ITC. See here.

I think that was the funniest ad on tv at the time with the great slogan 'life's too short, play more'. Was in stitches after. All the funny ads always get banned. Anyone remember the Levi hamster ad? About the hamster who dies of boredom one day when his wheel breaks lol.

The X-Box ad ran for around 3-4 days before it was pulled. Damn, I miss that ad Smile

I can see why it was banned though...Imagine having just lost a baby during labour...then seeing that ad. Not very nice.

Good point Eagle, it is often easy to forget how something like that can affect others. Sounds like a very clever ad though.

I think it is almost impossible to not step on someones toes now-a-days, however, I do agree .. losing a child in labor and then seeing this would be very tough.
