In the means of sales and marketing, the sales people does not involve in situations and decisions which affect their customers. In the area of advertising agency, financial situation once organization is not well-equipped. If there is no proper communication between the customers and the sellers, there is no proper marketing in markets. Its sad but true fact.

Sounds like you need to change jobs or tell your boss the problem?

Hi Anicruz, I am not really sure what you are trying to convey in your post? Could you please be more specific. Are you basically saying that breakdown in communication is sole reason for poor sales?

That's what I would guess, but I'm a little confused too.

When I was doing a degree in e-business, I believed there was a gap in understanding between business managers and web designers/developers. I wrote a dissertation about it. It's old now (2005), written in academic-speak, and contains a lot of stuff I didn't necessarily want to do but had to because such primary research was necessary.

My hypothesis was that a gap did exist between managers and designers (although sometimes one person takes on both roles). I explored the issues to see if that was the case empirically. I came to the conclusion that team work was essential for a successful business website and that both managers and designers should make an effort to bridge the gap.

If you've nothing better to do, you can read it here: http://www.flowtheory.com You'll need to shake all the dust off it first, though.

I think it's a similar point to the one raised here - different parts of the business not understanding and communicating effectively with the others.

I dont totally agree with that. I have never worked anywhere as a sales person were I was not able to give my opinion and directly impact advertising. At the same time those responsible for advertising and marketing were involved with the sales team. It is part of the sale persons job that while working with customers to gather what things are working with what customers. Sales people are just as vital as market research firms they just have to take the time to relay their info back to the right people. It really all depends on the company I guess you could say.
