Have you tried joining in answer sites such as Yahoo answers, yedda etc...? If so, is this an effective method for driving traffic to your site?

I can't say I've ever tried it. What tends to be their policy on selectively answering only those questions where your answer is actually self-promotional, do you know?

Can't say I've tried it either. Are the links follow or nofollow?

When I answer some questions in Yahoo Answers or in some other sites, I don't just focus answering on those questions related to my site or in just one category because I've heard that you might get banned from doing that.

In Yahoo Answers, links are nofollow but in Yedda, links are dofollow.
