Anyone used BranchOut app in Facebook?
And what experiences good or bad?

BranchOut is an app that imports LinkedIn contacts
As LinkedIn allow the export of profiles, BranchOut have capitalised on this to enable the export to their app in Facebook!

There's also another good app that is competing with LinkedIn's Q&A's - Quora.
Anyone used this?

I wonder if 2011 is the year LinkedIn comes under attack?

Quora isn't bad... they're the first people to really get a good idea on Q&A in a social environment. I blogged about it a while ago at http://philbradley.typepad.com/phil_bradleys_weblog/2011/01/quora-questions-and-answers.html

It's fun, but needs improvement, particularly on the notifications front; I NEED RSS for something like that, and it doesn't have it.

There's a really interesting piece on Quora in the PR Week magazine, which is very much in favour of Quora and it's worth a read, not just from the PR angle, but also from business generally.

I must say the fuss over Quora is hard to fathom. It's a Q&A site that has managed to get a few leading lights to use it recently but so far I have failed to see how it differs from any of the other answer sites out there.

yep i've registered for Quora but haven't got involved yet
I'll passively watch for the moment
plenty of contacts seem to be following me on Quora so I'll let it build a bit first
